‘Muslim Lobby Day’ Meeting Held in Maryland’s Annapolis

IQNA – Muslim Americans held a meeting in Annapolis, US state of Maryland, Monday night to discuss sharing with lawmakers what they want to see.

This year, many lobbyists are pushing for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and hoping lawmakers will pass an anti-hate resolution.

They are also advocating for protecting juvenile justice reforms, protecting free speech, and protecting the Muslim voice on the Maryland Hate Crimes Commission.

An estimated 2 million registered voters in the United States are Muslim Americans, according to a new analysis released on Sunday by the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

The largest concentrations of Muslim voters are in California and New York, according to CAIR's data.
